Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide crucial support to two students with unique needs: a boy in Year 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for half of the day and a girl in Year 4 with a global learning delay for the other half.
Offer 1:1 support to a Year 2 boy with ASD, focusing on his academic and social development.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for the boy to thrive in.
Build a strong and nurturing relationship with the student to enhance his learning experience.
Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to implement effective strategies tailored to the student’s needs.
Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 girl with global learning delay during the other half of the day.
Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to support the girl’s academic progress.
Monitor and record student progress, communicating regularly with teachers and parents.
Previous experience in an educational or childcare setting is advantageous.
An understanding of ASD and global learning delay is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
