Role Overview:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible working patterns

Responsibilities: As a Nursery Assistant, you’ll work closely with experienced educators to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for young children.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Supporting children with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and toileting.
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement to children as they explore and learn.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment.
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a sense of belonging and community.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Passion for Early Childhood Education: An enthusiastic and compassionate attitude towards working with young children.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, taking direction from senior staff members while also contributing your ideas and insights.
  • Effective Communication: Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Basic Childcare Knowledge: A basic understanding of child development and care practices is desirable but not essential.
