Job Title: Year 2 Maternity Cover Teacher

Position Type: Full-Time (Possibly 4 days a week, Tuesday to Friday)

Start Date: October Half Term

Location: East Finchley (Parking & Northern Line)

Job Description: They are seeking an experienced Year 2 teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis starting from October Half Term. The position may be full-time, possibly 4 days a week (Tuesday to Friday), which they are flexible on.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for Year 2 students, following the Phonics Letters and Sounds program.
Engage students in creative and interactive lessons that promote active learning.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive teaching environment.
Possibility of taking on a role as a Phonics Lead, depending on experience and interest.
Maintain excellent communication skills, both with students and parents, fostering a positive and inclusive school community.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant teaching experience, ideally in Key Stage 1.
Familiarity with the Phonics Letters and Sounds program.
Creativity, presence, and the ability to engage students effectively.
Confidence in parent communication and teamwork.
Commitment to our school’s values and ethos.
