About the role:

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) focusing on boosters for low-achieving students at our bustling school in Barnet, your journey begins ASAP, with no end date in sight. This part-time role offers crucial support, operating on select days each week, fostering progress and empowerment among our young learners. You’ll collaborate closely with class teachers, implementing targeted interventions to enhance student achievement in reading, writing, and mathematics. Your role extends beyond the classroom as you build positive relationships with parents, ensuring a cohesive approach to student support and success. Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with Key Stage 1 students, preferably in an intervention or booster capacity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Relevant qualifications and/or training in education or special educational needs (SEN) would be advantageous.
• The ideal candidate possesses at least 1-2 years of experience working in a similar role, with a proven track record of supporting student progress in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the delivery of targeted interventions to boost the academic progress of Key Stage 1 students.
• Work closely with class teachers to identify areas for improvement and implement tailored strategies.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students requiring additional assistance.
• Create engaging and interactive learning experiences to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered.
