About the Role:
A dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant is sought to work 1:1 with a child in Reception with learning needs associated with Global Delay. The child is delightful, presenting no challenging behaviour. The role involves quickly building rapport, setting expectations, and implementing strategies to challenge and encourage progress. This full-time position, beginning on January 8th, offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a young learner’s educational journey.
Provide tailored 1:1 support to the child with learning needs.
Build a positive and supportive rapport to facilitate effective learning.
Set clear expectations and implement strategies to challenge and encourage progress.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure a cohesive support plan.
Create a nurturing and inclusive environment for the child’s development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
Understanding of learning needs associated with Global Delay.
Ability to quickly build rapport and establish a positive relationship.
Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with school staff and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the individual needs of students.
