About the Role: We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a delightful 5-year-old girl in Reception who has severe Autism and is academically at an 18-month level. This role, based in Borehamwood, requires an individual with a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs, particularly in the area of speech and language development.

Role Description: As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing individualised support to a charming 5-year-old girl with severe Autism. The focus will be on aiding her speech and language development, engaging in sensory play, and creating a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will be hands-on, fostering a strong and supportive relationship with the student.
– Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a 5-year-old girl with severe Autism.
– Assist in speech and language development, tailored to the student’s needs.
– Engage the student in sensory play activities.
– Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
– Build a strong and trusting relationship with the student.
– Previous experience working with children with severe Autism.
