Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity within a wonderful school located in the heart of Barnet, offering a highly rewarding position as a Key Stage 2 Primary Teaching Assistant in the London Borough of Enfield.

Situated in a 3 form-entry school, this institution boasts a beautiful building steeped in history and serves a diverse student body. As a non-faith-based school dedicated to inclusivity and diversity, it takes pride in maintaining an OFSTED rating of Good and excelling in both behavioral management and attendance. Conveniently accessible via public transportation links such as the Tube and Bus routes, commuting to the school is hassle-free.

The role is full-time, from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, and involves providing support within the Key Stage 2 setting. The ideal candidate will possess qualities such as kindness, compassion, patience, and empathy.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assisting classroom educators in delivering targeted support tailored for Key Stage 2 students.
  • Supporting the implementation of learning plans and activities under the guidance of classroom teachers.
  • Contributing to the creation of an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Assisting in classroom management and ensuring the well-being of all students.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to support the educational and emotional development of students.

Skills and qualifications required for this role include:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within Key Stage 2.
  • A passion for supporting the learning and development of young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
