Role Overview:

Full-time, 8:15 am – 3:30 pm – Is flexible between full-time and part-time though the hours stay the same  
Responsibilities: As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our nursery and ensuring the well-being and happiness of the children in our care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging activities and experiences that promote children’s learning and development across all areas, including communication, social, physical, and cognitive skills.
  • Providing attentive care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and caregivers, and fostering open communication to support children’s individual needs and interests.
  • Assisting with daily routines, such as meal times, nap times, and toileting, and supporting children’s independence and self-help skills.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting is preferred, but not essential.
  • Passion for Childcare: A genuine love for working with children and a nurturing disposition are essential for this role.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are important for building rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
