This position will commence in October 2023, offering full-time, long-term stability until July, with potential for extension.
In this rewarding role, you will have the privilege of working closely on a 1:1 basis with a Year 2 student who has Autism and is non-verbal. Proficiency in communicating through the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) is essential for this role.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Confident and Capable: You should feel confident in providing one-on-one support and working with small groups of students.
- Diverse Support Experience: We seek individuals with experience in supporting children with various additional needs, including Autism, ADHD,
- Dyslexia, and those exhibiting challenging behavior.
- Engaging and Creative: Bring your creativity and engaging teaching approach to enhance the learning experience.
- Progress Monitoring: Be adept at monitoring the student’s progress and providing constructive feedback on their development.
- Interactive Learning: Create dynamic and interactive activities to keep the student engaged and interested in their education.
- Passionate Changemaker: We’re looking for individuals passionate about fostering positive social and academic development in children.
