Job Description

Situated in the vibrant community of Haringey, A school presents an enriching opportunity for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support students across Key Stage 1 and 2. With a rich heritage, diverse student body, and a commitment to inclusivity, our non-faith-based school offers a nurturing environment for both staff and students to flourish.

Employment Type: Part-time or full-time
Hours: 8:15 am – 3:30 pm
You will collaborate closely with classroom educators to provide targeted support to students in Key Stage 1 and 2, whether through intervention programs or covering lessons as required.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with classroom educators to deliver tailored support to students across Key Stage 1 and 2.
  • Implement engaging learning plans and dynamic teaching strategies to address the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, prioritizing the social and emotional well-being of every student.
  • Engage students actively in stimulating classroom activities, ensuring their participation and enthusiasm in their educational journey.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within both Key Stage 1 and 2.
  • Strong understanding of educational needs, with the ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the varying needs of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering seamless collaboration with teaching staff, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the individual needs of students across Key Stage 1 and 2.
