Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Challenging Behaviour
Job Type: Full-time
Role Description: We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work with a child in Reception who has Autism and challenging behaviour. This role involves providing essential support in the classroom, helping the child progress academically and socially while addressing challenging behaviour.
Offer personalised support to the student with Autism and challenging behaviour in both academic and social settings.
Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement individualised learning plans and an educational health care plan.
Utilise PECS or MAKATON techniques to enhance communication and understanding.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.
– Proven experience working with children with Autism and challenging behaviour, preferably in a school setting.
– Commitment to the academic and social development of students with special needs.
– Familiarity with PECS or MAKATON communication systems would be beneficial.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
