Job Description

As an SEN Teacher for KS1 you will play a crucial role in supporting and enriching the educational experiences of SEN students. You will work closely with an SEN Coordinator and other staff members to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

·        Planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of SEN students in KS1.

·        Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensuring progress is regularly monitored and reported.

·        Collaborating with support staff, parents, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to SEN support.

·        Creating a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages engagement and independence.

·        Utilizing a variety of teaching strategies and resources to adapt to different learning styles and abilities.

 

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

·        Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.

·        Experience working with SEN students, particularly in KS1.

·        A deep understanding of SEN needs and a commitment to inclusive education.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.

·        Adaptability and a creative approach to teaching to meet the diverse needs of students.

·        Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of SEN students.
