The Role:

Position: KS1 Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA)
Hours: Full-time, Part Time, 8:15am – 3:30pm
Responsibilities: Working primarily with Key Stage 1 students, you may be assigned to support individual students on a 1-1 basis or work with small groups, as needed. The role involves collaborating closely with classroom educators to deliver targeted support tailored to the unique needs of each student. Patience, compassion, and a willingness to adapt teaching approaches are essential, particularly when working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who may be non-verbal.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably within a Key Stage 1 setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Genuine passion for supporting the individual needs of each student and fostering their social and emotional well-being.
