Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting the academic and personal development of Key Stage 2 students? We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving school in the vibrant community of Islington.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide invaluable support to the KS2 teaching team by assisting with classroom activities and facilitating small group learning sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Offer one-on-one support to students who may require additional assistance, helping them to achieve their academic goals and overcome challenges.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of teaching resources and materials, ensuring that lessons run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and rapport to encourage their engagement and participation in learning activities.


  • Previous experience working with Key Stage 2 students in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning and well-being of all students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing disposition, with the ability to provide encouragement and support to students as they navigate their learning journey.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the willingness to assist with a variety of tasks and activities as needed within the KS2 classroom.
