Job Description

Primary school on your doorstep seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide essential support to students with diverse learning needs.


  • Provide one-to-one and/or small group support to students with various learning needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Encourage and motivate students to actively engage in their learning.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide feedback and reports on student progress to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support when necessary.


High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in a related field is a plus.

Prior experience working with students with diverse needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome challenges.

Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
