Position Overview: The school is currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join its team as a Cover Supervisor. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of the school on a day-to-day basis, by providing high-quality cover for absent teachers and maintaining a positive learning environment in their absence.
- Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning.
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and activities across various subjects and year groups.
- Managing classroom behavior effectively, maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Supporting students with their learning, offering assistance and guidance when required.
- Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leadership to ensure continuity in the delivery of the curriculum.
- Upholding the school’s policies and procedures, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- A bachelor’s degree in any subject is desirable.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with young people is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting the development of young people.
