We are actively seeking an Assistant Headteacher to join a wonderful Primary school in Chingford, Enfield. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, starting after Christmas.

As Assistant Headteacher, you will join the Headteacher in leading the school, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the school and taking on the role of Acting Head in the Headteacher’s absence.

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive Senior Leadership experience. You will be dynamic, inspiring, knowledgeable and supportive, bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role. You will be an excellent communicator, able to motivate and inspire staff and pupils alike.

You will be responsible for managing the teaching and learning environment, ensuring staff are supported and have the necessary resources to provide an outstanding learning experience to the pupils. You will work closely with the Headteacher and other SLT members to develop and implement strategies to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning throughout the school.

In addition, you will have responsibility for:

• Ensuring the school operates within the relevant policies and procedures
• Developing and monitoring the school’s budget
• Developing and implementing school improvement plans
• Working with staff to ensure high standards of behaviour and discipline
• Supporting the development of the school’s curriculum
• Leading and managing staff performance and development

The successful candidate will have an educational background, with a relevant degree and/or QTS. You will have extensive experience in school leadership, with a proven track record of success. You will be confident in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, parents, pupils and the wider community.
