Are you passionate about helping children with social and emotional needs? Are you looking for a dynamic role that will challenge and reward you? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a behavior specialist to join our team.

We are seeking an experienced and caring individual to work with a talented young girl in Year 6 who has social and emotional needs. This role is for a maternity cover and it will be to start immediately in a stunning school based in Waltham Forest.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to make a difference to the life of a young girl. To be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record in working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The successful candidate will have the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and staff, as well as experience of working in a primary school environment. You must have excellent communication skills, a good understanding of child development, and the ability to think on your feet.

You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to the safeguarding of children and an understanding of relevant legislation. As a behavior specialist, you will be responsible for helping the young girl to manage her social and emotional needs through tailored strategies.

We are looking for someone who can use their skills to identify and understand the challenges she faces and develop a plan of action to help her to make progress. This includes working with teachers to develop positive behavior management strategies, and providing support to build her confidence and self-esteem.

The successful candidate will be able to use creative approaches to engage the young girl in her learning, as she has a particular interest in Maths and Science. You will also need to be able to monitor her progress and review her plan of action regularly.
