Position: SEN Teaching Assistant with Specialism in Autism

Location: Ealing, West London

Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: SENTA – Daily Rate £85-£100

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in Autism, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the diverse needs of our students. Working closely with experienced educators and alongside a dedicated support team, you will provide tailored assistance and guidance to students on the Autism spectrum. Your daily responsibilities will include implementing individualized learning plans, facilitating communication and social interaction, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with Autism.
Provide one-on-one support and small group interventions to promote academic progress and social development.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Utilize effective communication strategies to engage with students, parents, and external stakeholders.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to inform future interventions and support strategies.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with students on the Autism spectrum is essential.
Strong understanding of Autism and familiarity with evidence-based interventions and strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Proactive and adaptable approach to meeting the diverse needs of students in a dynamic educational setting.
