Job Opportunity: SEN TA with Specialism in Challenging Behaviours

Location: Ealing, West London

Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay:

SEN TA: £85-£100 Daily Rate
Role Type: Full Time, Long Term

Your role as an SEN TA with a specialism in Challenging Behaviours will be instrumental in supporting students with diverse needs, fostering an environment where every child can thrive. As a dedicated member of the team, you’ll work closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored interventions, providing essential support to students with behavioural challenges. From one-on-one assistance to implementing behaviour management strategies, your compassionate approach will make a lasting impact on the lives of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with challenging behaviours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Implement individualized behaviour management strategies in collaboration with the SENCO and classroom teachers.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment by promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to the assessment of student progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external professionals to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviours, preferably within an educational setting.
  • A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or behaviour management (e.g., Team-Teach, Autism Awareness, etc.) are desirable but not essential.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEN.
