Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant with Intervention Experience

Location: Finchley, Barnet, London

Hours of Work: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Salary: Daily Rate: £85 – £100

About the Role:

The school is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant with experience in intervention strategies to join its dynamic team. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with experienced classroom teachers, providing targeted support to ensure the academic and emotional well-being of Key Stage 1 students. Responsibilities include delivering tailored interventions, fostering a nurturing classroom environment, and contributing to the overall educational journey of pupils. With a full-time commitment, Monday to Friday during term-time, this position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact daily. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for inspiring and empowering young learners, along with excellent communication skills and a genuine dedication to student success.

Requirements:

Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Key Stage 1 setting, preferably with a focus on intervention strategies.

A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents.

A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting student learning and development.

The ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.

A commitment to upholding the values and ethos of the school, including its faith-based principles.

Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to undergo the check.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to ensuring the well-being of all students.
