In this full-time role, working from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, you will provide one-on-one support to a non-verbal child on the higher end of the autism spectrum in Key Stage1 or 2. While experience with Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) is preferred, we prioritize qualities such as patience, compassion, and empathy in our ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate seamlessly with our accomplished classroom educators to deliver targeted support for Key Stage 1 and 2 students with ASD.
• Implement tailored learning plans, employing dynamic teaching methodologies to address the unique needs of each child.
• Cultivate an inclusive and encouraging learning atmosphere, prioritizing the social and emotional well-being of every Key Stage 1 and 2 students.
• Actively engage in stimulating classroom activities, ensuring the participation and enthusiasm of each child in their educational journey.
• Foster strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and fellow professionals, ensuring a holistic and cooperative approach to each child’s development.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with older children in an educational setting, specifically within Key Stage 1 or 2.
• Profound understanding of special educational needs, showcasing adaptability in implementing effective teaching approaches.0
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering seamless collaboration with our dedicated teaching staff, parents, and stakeholders.
• Exude patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the individual needs of each Key Stage 1 or 2 child.
