Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Location: Harrow, London

Pay:

SEN TA: £85 – £100 per day

Role Overview:

As an SEN TA with a specialisation in Autism, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) within the school’s SEN department. Working closely with experienced teachers and SEN specialists, you will provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one support to students with Autism, both in the classroom and during designated therapy sessions.
• Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
• Facilitating sensory activities and interventions to promote sensory regulation and engagement.
• Collaborating with external professionals, such as speech and language therapists and occupational therapists, to deliver integrated support programmes.
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communicating effectively with parents and carers.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with Autism, preferably within an educational setting.
• A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students’ lives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
• Relevant qualifications or training in Autism and SEN support (desirable but not essential).
