In the fifteen years since Teach Now was first established in a London primary school, we’ve come a very long way indeed – and although we’ve constantly evolved as we’ve grown, developing and refining innovative ways of working, one thing remains unchanged. That is our determination to be much more than a mere ‘recruitment agency’ – to cultivate and nurture our mutually rewarding relationships with teachers and their employers, and to radically change the way education recruitment works. And in 2023, more than ever, events have proved we’re up there with the very best education recruitment companies in Greater London and indeed the entire United Kingdom.
Of course, we’re biased – but don’t take our word for it. Only last month, it was revealed that we made the Financial Times’ UK’s Leading Recruiters list for 2024. Accolades like this are always to be celebrated, but this one is doubly precious – because the list is based on our clients’ and candidates’ feedback. Though we say it ourselves, this was no mean achievement – we made the ‘cut’ to be included in the final 154 best-rated companies (of which just 13 are in the education sector) from an enormous longlist of 7,000 UK recruiters!
That was just one of many milestones. Back in July, we were thrilled to be nominated in the ‘Best Client Services’ category of our sector’s most prestigious set of honours, The Recruiter Awards. There was further proof that we’re no ordinary recruitment agency in April when our unique approach and our team’s talents and commitment were endorsed by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC), which awarded us Audited Education Status.
So what does the new year hold for Teach Now? Well, we’re delighted that our unique philosophy has been recognised and validated by these venerable institutions – so we won’t be making any changes to the fundamental principles that guide everything we do. Because we’re passionate about maintaining relationships with schools, as well as with candidates, we understand each school’s individual needs far more intimately than ordinary recruiters. Our experienced and dedicated consultants work closely with schools to deliver tailored solutions with rare insight and empathy.
Training and Apprenticeships
Unlike ordinary recruitment agencies, we’re committed to teachers’ development and training. In partnership with a DFE-recognised education specialist training company, our Teacher Apprenticeship Scheme and our Post Graduate Teacher Apprentice Scheme empower talent at all ages, enabling people to earn as they learn, and build the skills to kickstart careers.
ECT Services
Our exclusive ECT (Early Career Teacher) service takes all the hard work and a good deal of the expense out of the ECT recruitment process by maintaining a pool of over 1000 exceptional ECTs ‘hand-picked’ from prestigious universities. No other recruiter has access to this talent pool. So our clients really do have the pick of the cream of the crop – carefully screened to ensure only the very best, most suitable candidates are shortlisted for interview. We even provide you with an exclusive training package to develop your new ECTs’ skills.
Networking
Launched this year, our pioneering CONNECT service brings together schools and high-calibre candidates at informal and convivial networking events held in schools around Greater London.
